03. Become a Volunteer

As the saying goes, “It takes a village.”  Break of Dawn would like to build a village of volunteers.  There are limitless opportunities to invest in the lives of the teens and women we will serve both behind-the-scenes and on the frontlines.

02. Join the Support Team

Regular monthly donors and members of the Support Team are the lifeblood of any organization.  By joining the Support Team as either a recurring monthly donor or one-time donor, you are investing in people; teen girls and women who have trauma from atrocities they were never meant to experience and vulnerabilities of homelessness, poverty, addiction, mental health, low self-esteem, abuse and neglect, dysfunctional family systems, being in the foster care system, and other areas that leave them prey to those who seek to take advantage of them for their own profit, gain, or pleasure.  No matter the amount of your generous donation, God loves to multiply what we offer!

04. Spread the Word

Launch Team members are people who want to play an active role in making both Break of Dawn’s short-term and long-term goals a reality.  Those on the Launch Team resonate with Break of Dawn’s mission to bring hope, healing, and freedom to teen girls and women who have been affected by sexual trauma and sexual violence.  Launch Team members will play an integral part in forming and carrying out formative pieces such as the strategic plan, scope of care, branding and marketing, and forming crucial partnerships with other organizations and individuals.  Reach out to learn more about joining the Launch Team!

Be a Leader

05. Become a Board Member

Break of Dawn is looking for Holy Spirit-filled Board Members who desire to help run and govern Break of Dawn.  Board members will be key players in their communities and bring expertise to the Board.  Do you or anyone you know have a passion to help teen girls and women who have been affected by sexual trauma and sexual violence and have characteristics to form policies and procedures that will set us up for success?  We’d love to meet you!

Our Current & Ongoing Ministry Opportunities

Isaiah 58

Isaiah 58 gives a commission to loose the chains of injustice, untie the cords of the yoke, set the oppressed free, and to break every yoke.  Many find themselves in circumstances that keep them captive.  At Break of Dawn, we will join in the Isaiah 58 mission to meet the needs of teen girls and women whether they have experienced sexual trauma or sexual violence or not.  Statistically speaking, sadly, 1 in 3 girls will experience sexual trauma and sexual violence in their lifetime, so we pray God will bring us exactly who He wills for us to lavish with His love.  Since its inception, Break of Dawn has had the privilege of serving those God has given us. Click on the current and ongoing Isaiah 58 ministry opportunities.

In December 2021, Break of Dawn donated Mary & Martha 100 Days of Hope & Encouragement Devotionals to thirty women.  Some lived in a crisis center for women and children.  Others had incarcerated husbands, while others sought help at a pregnancy help center.  Still others received help directly from Break of Dawn.  All were gifted with these books!  While all of the women with ages ranging from 18-58 need to remain anonymous due to their circumstances, God knows the exact number of hairs on each of these dear ladies’ heads.  If you would like to send a gift in honor of one of the thirty women or donate in honor of the whole group, click DONATE in the menu bar then select “100 Days of Hope” under Purpose.

A storehouse is a place of storage for the purpose of gathering surplus or extra and to have more than enough for your own needs so that others’ needs can be met.  Among those who are blessed through God’s storehouses are the widows, orphans, fatherless, poor, needy, destitute, afflicted, hungry, thirsty, naked, and homeless.  Break of Dawn was organized to help those who have been affected by sexual trauma and sexual violence; however, we have found that there are many other conditions that need covering.  We have a goal of opening 1-3 restoration homes in the upcoming years.  While we work towards this plan, we want to actively serve those in our communities who need help in the present.  The purpose of the Storehouses Project is to bless others.  There are two ways to get involved:  1) Become a monthly supporter or give a gift of any amount.  On the form, select Storehouses Project under Purpose. Break of Dawn will purchase items for the teen girls and women God brings to us. 2) Donate materials as an In-Kind Donation.  For a Storehouses Project Items List, click Here

This fund is a place to bless a group without a lengthy list of purposes to choose from. Not long after Break of Dawn’s inception, God began bringing even more than the ones already mentioned  who had various needs.  A common trend began to appear: most were single moms. Many had sexual trauma, but it certainly wasn’t a prerequisite for Break of Dawn to help. Break of Dawn is also working with two pregnancy resource centers where a stream of teen girls and women come and go. Instead of having a long list of purposes for each individual person, you have the option to select Single Moms & Kids under Purpose. Then include a note on the donation form if you’d like to designate your gift towards a specific person or initiative.
Meet Joy. It radiates in every interaction with her. Despite the fact she suffers from extreme challenges from her body rejecting everything, including food and water, and from countless physical and emotional manifestations from the sexual abuse inflicted upon her from years’ past, she is consumed with JOY. Her needs for suitable housing and financial provisions do not steal her joy, since she is trusting God to provide through His people. To help cover her vulnerabilities, click on DONATE on the Menu bar and select Joy in the Purpose section.
