Raise a Hallelujah!“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done. Sing to Him; yes, sing His praises. Tell everyone about His wonderful deeds.” Psalm 105:1-2

And that’s just what I’m going to do in this month’s newsletter! God is moving in so many ways and I’m here to share a few highlights, all for God’s glory.

Right off the bat, check out the big announcement shared below! We were inspired by a church earlier last year and began praying about how we could implement something similar. In late 2022, Break of Dawn’s Board unanimously voted this exciting addition into our by-laws and it’s now official with the State. We are absolutely elated in this expansion to Break of Dawn’s scope of ministry.

Another exciting praise report is that the Break of Dawn/Spooner Teens for Life Donation Drive raised $500 and a few truckloads of items for two local pregnancy centers. Thank you to everyone who donated!

With your help, in 2022 alone, Break of Dawn provided single moms and their kids with washers and dryers on two separate occasions, purchased glasses for one single mom, helped Joy with medical needs, helped single moms with house projects, cut wood and did fall yardwork so a mom and her kids were prepared for winter, you nominated a long list of single moms in the Single Mom Nomination & Giveaway and one mom received a beautiful gift basket from the Trades of Hope spring fundraiser, helped Zita make it another month by providing funds so a Break of Dawn volunteer could take her shopping for essentials for herself and now the baby growing inside of her, helped a young mom and her kids move when they faced an eviction, and we offered up hours of prayers and support to many. Remind yourself at BLOG and praise the Lord with a hallelujah! Listen to what some of these dear ladies are saying:
“I can’t begin to thank you enough! Your help came exactly at the right time. God continues to show me how much He’s working on my behalf.”

“Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am for your prayers.”

“I’m so grateful for your heart and your help.”

“I can’t thank you enough for standing with me!”

“Thank you so much! I really, really, do appreciate your help very much! You have no idea!”

“Thank you for the ways you have blessed me. I am so appreciative of the time and energy you spent helping me. Your help was such a relief and a blessing. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus!”

For everyone who has prayed, volunteered, or sowed into Break of Dawn on any level, these messages are for you, too. You’re being the hands of feet of Jesus and Jesus gives hope, healing, and freedom. Keep reading to find out about all the ways you can join what God’s doing in the months ahead.

This Foundation will provide funding to families looking to adopt children from teenage girls and women who find themselves pregnant as a result of sexual trauma or sexual violence, or in cases of unexpected pregnancies, in addition to helping families with funding for the adoption of teenage girls.

Sex (many times) equals babies, even in cases of sexual trauma and sexual violence. We wanted to be proactive and have something in place for the ladies God has us ministering to and will in the future. This Foundation will give mothers options instead of the alternative. The Break of Dawn Adoption Foundation will not be involved in placements, but simply in the funding of adoptions. Once the fund reaches a certain threshold, we will begin taking applications. There will be protocols in place to aid in the process. For now, please, pray for this Foundation and, if you would like to donate to the fund, go to DONATE

Join the Mission
Every time you give to Break of Dawn, 100% of the funds donated, with no money held back, is used to help the person selected or dispersed via the fund you designate. Break of Dawn currently has very little overhead or organizational costs (these are being covered from another source), so we are able to take our second pillar of extravagant giving and produce tangible acts of kindness when God places someone in our path to help.

The donor who put forth the $12,000 match a couple months ago has graciously extended the timeframe to May 15th! That means all funds up to $12,000 brought in from now until May 15th will be doubled. There are lots of ways to join the mission and all funds received from the following categories will count.

30 for 12 Challenge!
We’re praying for 30 people who will sow into the ministry at $30/month for all 12 months of 2023. That’s less than $1 a day for each day of the year. Sign up online with your recurring donation before Jan 31.

Give a one-time donation of any size for a doubled impact!
Pick from these funds: General (we receive calls for help on a consistent basis so this fund is used for unexpected needs or when funds aren’t available in the other areas); Adoption Foundation (raise funds for the adoptions of babies and teenage girls)ISAIAH58: Widows and Orphans, Joy, Storehouses Project, 100 Days of Hope, Building Project (our long-term goal includes building 1-3 restoration homes).

Trades of Hope/Break of Dawn Fundraiser in April. Make plans to order these beautiful, handcrafted items that not only make great Mother’s Day, birthday, and wedding gifts but, most importantly, support an artisan who is fleeing human trafficking, help moms keep their babies out of orphanages, help women leave abuse and discrimination, create jobs for disabled women, send girls to school, fight against child marriage, and help provide clean water. A portion of the proceeds earned will put together a gift basket for our 2nd Annual Single Mom Nomination & Giveaway and the rest will go directly towards God’s work through Break of Dawn. Learn more or if you can’t wait…
